Abhyanga massage is based on the body's seven energy centres (the chakras), which the practitioner rebalances by stimulating the energy pathways to allow energy to circulate freely throughout the body.

When you make your appointment, it is essential that you inform me of any health problem that could represent a contraindication to the massage:

 

  • Inflammation, herniated disc or cervical spine

  • Phlebitis, thrombosis and aneurysms

  • Haemophilia

  • Fever

  • Cancer

  • Diabetes

  • Severe varicose veins

  • High blood pressure

  • Heart problems (medical advice required)

  • Skin conditions

  • Pregnancy.
